The director of the film "Warcraft" Sam Raimi said in the telephone interview with MTV website that the screenplay of the film will be written by screenplay writer Robert Rodat. Sam affirmed based on the game itself to create an original story in this interview. He understood that game "World of Warcraft" had been played by adherents in huge quantity, therefore they would try to build a world in the film according to the game standards. He pointed that they would fetch material from the game directly, and made the movie by the characters, places and stories within. In particular, he referred to "our films may be on a central role, or may not."
Sam expressed he hoped that screenwriter Rodat can write out an original stories including tribal game and allied myth with role, in order to achieve the "world of warcraft" where the feeling of adventure. However, Sam also admitted the film will still be very "different" from the game, because transfer the game to the film will have a process of expansion and transformation, which will be two completely different worlds.
