2010-Apr-21 - To Make A Comment On The Book King Lear

King Lear was written in 1605 and based on a well-known England folk legend. It is one of Shakespeare's four major tragedies. The story is about King Lear, who is old, opinionated and of no knowledge, hand out land to the deceptive eldest daughter Lu Gan and second daughter Gong Nali, but he deported the little daughter Cody Lixia to foreign countries, who is honest, straightforwarded and can not please father King. Be expelled from her country, Kedilixia had no choice but to leave for France with her lover, King of France. King Lear remained the honor of the King and one hundred attendants, preparing for living in his two daughters' palaces in turn to enjoy the evening of his life. However, when these two daughters get what they want they drive their old father out, regardless of how terrible a life he is going through. When heard of the miserable sufferings of father, little daughter sent armed forces to suppress her two older sisters, with the bad result, she failed and committed suicide by cutting her throat. Little daughter died with hate and King Lear gradually died sorrowfully and painfully. Certainly, two bad daughters also had a miserable fate.Hey! Stop Damage Your Perfect create your free blog

Because of his vanity, silly King Lear killed his kind-hearted and innocent little daughter, Cordelia. From the perspective of us, he reaped as he had sown. By the way, suffering such miserable treatment is really the most unbearable one in his life, but what's worse for him is that his kindest daughter dies before him. However, we have not thought he was an ordinary man like us. If he did not listen to others' suggestions and truths when he was young, how could he did as a king untill now and ran his country so well? But, because he was on the top and lived in a palace of a hundred responses to a single call for quite long lerm. People surrounded him flattered him for his credit and turned around him, regarding his likes and dislikes, his right and wrong as principles. Gradually, like a druggy addicts to drug, obsequiousness and flatter become his necessity in life. When he lost his crown, power, suffered a miserable life and finally got back his sense, the sadly cry before his death was not for the previous momentum or the former dignity as a king but for the younger daughter who was compelled to leave and cursed by him. But he could never recall her gold heart from her eternal sleeping. And he realised that the most precious thing was real sentiments between people which could not be bought from money or power. However, when two daughters flattered him and made him excited, little daughter did not flatter him, not dared to quarrel with him. This made him unhappy and he turned the little girl out of their own country in a fit of rage.

The little daughter Cordelia was kind-hearted and innocent but also stubborn and impulsive. Since she knew what her sisiters looked like, why could not she win one place for his old father's future? To maintain their dignity and style was not wrong, but people sometimes need to use words to declare to others, and sometimes the role of speech is much greater than the action. She is happy because she has nothing but she has got a man who really loves her. This is what her two sisters can not own. she is always living in love and be loved among. But at the same time, she was impulsive. She finally failed in the fight against her daughters who maltreated their father and died in the prison. Isn't that because of her impulse? She should take certain actions when have prepared well if she could not bear it. But she ventured to send troops under conditions of not complete preparation, so it was doomed to be a failure.

The story happened in the remote country but there are a lot of stories of this kind in reality. We all like those who say good words and compliments. And finally we are hurt by them. Is it precisely a condemnation of those honey-mouthed and dagger-hearted conspirators? In real life, there are great differences between phenomenon and essence, appearance and content. We cannot lose our sense and become another King Lear because of phenomenon and appearance. Remember, it is not only gold that glitters. But everybody has a concept and standard of good and evil, fake things and truth. We are not born with the ability to judge them, and the reality is cruel, so we won't always get happy endings like described in the books. We need to experience these things before we can truly tell the good from the bad. We cannot lose our sense of recognizing just for the desires in our heart. Restrain the fond of sweet. How can we know the taste of sweet when we have not tasted what is bitter?
